Girl Conceals Homeless Kitten in Her School Bag

My daughter Maria phoned from school and asked to be picked up early because she wasn't feeling well. I immediately understood that something else was going on. I called back and spoke to her to see what was really happening.
"I have a kitten in my schoolbag," she said. "I found it in the schoolyard and it is wet and cold I am bringing it home."
I agreed to go and pick her up and bring her home even though it was raining at the time and we would have to walk to and from school. I was not that pleased to walk in the wet streets. But when I saw my daughter's face when she was telling me about her kitten and how she had rescued it I knew it was worth the wet shoes.
We brought the kitten home and dried up. It had caught a cold and needed medication for a few days. After that it just kept growing and getting cuter and cuter. She spent the first weeks in Maria's room. We named her Lolita. She is our baby-we have had here for a year now.
